PERFORMANCE STRATEGY

To devise an effective performance strategy, you need to evaluate your routines, rituals, and values.

What routines, rituals and values do you have?

We all have these in our daily lives, they can be autonomous or conscious, try and recognise yours and summarise whether they are a help or hindrance, and change them accordingly to your advantage. Imagery, performance cues and visualisation are good for this area; so, let’s start using what we have learnt right now when we set our goals.

Performance Goals

What performance goals do you have? How often will you review your performance? How often will your review your goals?

Remember: Nothing in this world is absolutely guaranteed or certain. In most cases the difference between success and failure is not about better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on their own ideas, to take a calculated risk, and to act.

Any time you act you can be wrong; any decision you make can turn out to be the wrong one. This should never deter us from going after the goal we want, you must daily have the courage to risk making mistakes, risk failure, risk being humiliated.
