The most important information provided by Market Profile charts are:
1. Market Open – this is indicated by the small blue arrow on the left-hand side
2. Market Close – this is indicated by the small blue arrow on the right-hand side
3. Point of Control – this represents the ‘Fair Value’ price of the market, as in indicated by the longest horizontal row of TPO’s which are coloured blue
4. Initial Balance – this represents the range within the first hour of trading (which often provides important information as to market direction for the day), and is indicated by the thin black vertical bracket on the left-hand side
5. Value Area – this represents the range of prices in which roughly 70% of trades have occurred, and is indicated by the thin blue vertical line on the right-hand side
